What is stress?
Stress is our response to not feeling safe.
We feel stress when we don't feel safe. Why, because

stress is another word for fear.
The body reacts to perceived and actual stress the same way, by activating the fight & flight response.

Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, and Breathing Rate Increase
Appetite is Decreased
Muscles Tense
Pupils Dilate, etc.

The body reacts this way as an attempt to survive. It is preparing to freeze, fight, flee, or fawn.

Freezing is an attempt to go unnoticed.
Fighting is an attempt to conquer.
Fleeing is an attempt to escape.
Fawning is an attempt to please others to be included.

Giving a public speech causes your muscles to tense and your heart to race. On stage you freeze and you wish you were invisible.
Exercising with more intensity and resting less while cutting calories might initially improve your performance because the body thinks it is fighting to survive.
Sitting in the middle of a row gives you clammy hands and an inability to focus. You feel trapped and unable to flee the crowd.
Thinking of someone seeing your house or hair messy makes you red with embarrassment. If they disapprove of you then you might not be included in their group.

Chronic activation of the stress response down-regulates the digestive, reproductive, and immune systems and makes the body more susceptible to illnesses, injuries, and imbalances.
Managing stress is not the answer as it is impossible to control all the triggers. However, it is possible to alleviate both the effects of and the responses to stress.

Foot Zone Therapy can help rebalance the nervous system and other areas of the body that are over stimulated or over fatigued by stress.
HTMA can show what parts of the body are burned out or over stimulated because of elevated or depleted mineral levels.

You know how you feel and
what makes you feel better or worse.
I know foot zone therapy and HTMA.

Together we will determine routines you can
eliminate or incorporate to
